About AFS

I started Primetime Software in 1997 advertising a catalogue on a disk in computer magazines such as Micro Mart and PC Home. It contained shareware, freeware and public domain software. I distributed the software on both floppy disks and CDs.

As more and more people went onto the internet at home and downloaded their own software, I withdrew the catalogue and created Absolute Free Software. In the early days shareware was fully functional whether you paid for it or not. But not anymore with many programs expiring. So I decided that AFS would be a freeware site that listed only free fully functional software.
